So there's two possible reasons it's not downloading. It's a fairly new torrent file and does not have peers seeding it yet. Or is a very old torrent, and all the peers have stopped seeding it. · The Preferences setting in your uTorrent might also interfere with your internet connection and cause uTorrent not downloading issue. A few days ago, when I was able to download normally, I started to download a relatively dead torrent, which was giving me kb/s download speed, when I used VPN it jumped to KB/s, and new. Global maximum: 60 (should be lowered further if you lower upload speed much) Per torrent: Not "checked" (it's not nearly as important as the global max upload slots) Half-open connection value: 10 (if you're not firewalled in qBT, even 10 may be overkill) Max upload speed: KB/sec. Max download speed: KB/sec. Answer (1 of 2): Before downloading, check for the seeds. If any of the seeds are available, than check for the trackers, how much are working. Are you using a VPN or proxy that is not torrent friendly? If that's the case then you should get rid of whatever you're using & get a paid torrent friendly VPN (see rule #4) Are you connectable (port forwarded)? For your torrent client test the client's connection port with something like bltadwin.ru & see if the test passes. If it does not pass then you need to manually configure a port forward through your software firewall and/or network router.
